Injury Prevention:
An essential part of staying healthy is identifying what loss of
health is preventable. We have noticed with our cooperation with local
agencies the need for preventive services in injuries and death
pertaining to traffic safety and child passenger seats.
- The Child Passenger Seat
Fit Station
Two of our Public Health employees have been trained and certified as Child
Safety Seat technicians and are able to inspect seats, properly install seats
and teach parents how to install their child's seat. From time to time, we
have replacement of your child's safety seat for a new one. Inspections occur
right here at our Public Health office.

- Bicycle and Road Safety
Lewis County Public Health is a member of the Lewis County Traffic Safety
Board. This group meets every other month to discuss issues and formulate
plans of action that relate to traffic and pedestrian safety.
