The mission of Lewis County Public Health Agency is the promotion of health, the prevention of disease, disability and injury, and the provision of quality community health services throughout the lifespan of Lewis County residents.

We operate a comprehensive public health program from the Children's Services Building on the Lewis County General Hospital campus and at many outreach sites through out the county. We have several programs all under the direction of JoAnn Seiler, M.S., R.N., Public Health Director. To learn about each program, use the menu above to select your specific interest.

Here is a brief description of each program:

  • Children with Special Needs - Focuses primarily on the education and health of children with special needs, whether they are physical, behavioral, or psychological needs. [more]
  • Home Health Program - Offers in-house services of nursing, physical therapy, and home health aide to those who are homebound, require either skilled nursing or physical therapy, and a physician has deemed it medically necessary. [more]
  • Hospice Program - This team of volunteers, physicians, nurses, and aides work to provide holistic care of the terminally ill and their families in an effort to improve the quality of their life. [more]
